How & When do I book a session?

Please complete the CONTACT FORM. It will immediately email & text you my detailed pricing information. As well as a link to my calendar with my up to date availability. Please feel free to call/text/email with any questions once you have complete the contact form.

I only book 2-3 Newborn Session a month because I know all to well how unpredictable babies can be. Once you book the session we will have a floating date on the calendar. And once the baby is born I ask that you shoot me a text or email while you are still in the hospital so that we can set the date/time for his or her’s newborn session.  I prefer to shoot newborn sessions within 4-8 days of birth. That is when they are sleepy & squishy.

  • The session fee covers booking & shooting of the session.
  • All digital files, prints & products are sold separately from the session fee.
  • In approximately 1-3 weeks I will send over an online gallery for you to review the images for 15 days.  If you need help in selecting images or would like to see images on the wall (YES, I really can do that) then we can set up a Zoom design meeting to put a print order together.

Yes, the Digital Files are sold via a digital download or they are complimentary with print purchase over $2,600.  Please complete the CONTACT FORM for more information & detailed pricing.

The session fee is  due to book any session & is NON-REFUNDABLE. All session fees are paid via the online with a Credit Card at time of booking. Session Fee is transferable to another date within a year of originally booked date. I try my hardest to get sessions re-booked within the time you are in town. This is why I need a good cell number to call you at while you are in town, just in case we need to rearrange our session.

Payment plans are available for the print order.

This is something that we will finalize after you book your session. All of my newborn session are done on location… which could be the beach, garden, forest, other. And the session location will determine what time we start. I usually allow for 2-3 hours for newborn sessions.

We will finalize the details after you book & complete the “Pre-Session” questionnaire.

What should I bring?

You don’t need to bring anything. I have lots of wraps, hats & things to style the baby. Majority of the images are taken naked or mostly naked. If you have something special you would like to be included please feel free to bring & let me know what you are bring so I can plan.

A blanket, one that you don’t mind getting messy. I also have some.

A pacifier, even if the baby isn’t going to be using it regularly. It makes my job so much easier to have for the session.

Extra diapers & wipes. Newborn sessions can be messy!

KEY IS A SLEEPY BABY!!!!!
  Most of the images we’ll be shooting work best if the baby is in a deep sleep. To encourage this, I recommend that you do whatever it takes to make sure baby is nice and exhausted. Keeping your little one awake on top of your own sleep deprivation might feel like torture, but it will be worth it in the end! If you can keep the baby awake for 2 hours BEFORE our session that will really help us during the session. Sleepier baby = More beautiful images!

HUNGRY?  A well fed baby is a happy baby! Please wait to feed and burp baby until right before our session to ensure a happy, sleepy (“milk drunk”) baby. We’ll also be more than happy to take as many breaks as needed to help him/her re-fuel. It’s tough work being a model!

We understand that unexpected things come up especially when you have children. If you need to reschedule, please call us as soon as possible. If your baby is sick, it is better to go ahead and reschedule your session. The session fee can be transferred towards another session on another date as long as you re-book within 12 months from your original appointment time as schedule allows.

Shhhhh we don’t say that word around here it’s always sunny in Florida & Texas! Right?

It’s a less than 90% chance of rain at the location we will wait till just before session to see if it’s actually raining. If it’s a 100% chance of rain I still wait till 2-3 hours before the session before calling it off. I have had MANY MANY times that we have called off the session at Noon and then at 5-6pm it was gorgeous on the beach and raining inland. If it does happen to be raining during your session we will figure out the next best time for both of our schedules before you leave to go home. That may mean getting up at sunrise (I know that is usually VERY early but it’s gorgeous & cooler than sunset).

If for some reason we can not reschedule during this visit your session fee is transferable to another date within a year of our original date scheduled.

In 2-3 weeks, your images will be ready.

  • How does the “Online Gallery” work?  I will upload your 30+ edited images with a watermark on them. You will have 15 days to make your purchasing decisions. If you are having a hard time deciding you can schedule a Zoom design meeting with me to go over images & see images on your walls. I do charge $200 extending gallery fee, please make your selections before the gallery expires.

  • How does the Zoom design meeting work?  I will have the 30+ edited images ready for you to see. I’ll share my screen with you via Zoom & use a specialized software to showcase how collections will accurately look displayed inside your beautiful home on your walls (This is why I ask for you to take photos of your walls). This added feature of the selection process solidifies that your vision will become a reality and will give you confidence of your choices.

PATIENCE IS KEY! Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2-3 hours. It all depends on baby’s mood and willingness to sleep. Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can predict! We ask that everyone remain calm, should he/she not want to sleep, since your baby will pick up on any frustration. And if sleep doesn’t happen, that’s okay! Wide-eyed newborn photos are beautiful too.

In 2-3 weeks, your images will be ready.
